Graduate Programs

Molecular and Cell biology houses seven "Fields of Study" that often intersect in an interdisciplinary manner. Most of our faculty members have research interests in more than one Field of Study.

The Fields of Study recognized as degree programs by the Graduate School include:

Biochemistry (PhD and MSc)
Structural Biology and Biophysics (PhD and MSc)
Cell and Developmental Biology (PhD and MSc)
Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics (PhD and MSc)
Microbiology (PhD and MSc)
Applied Genomics (MSc)
Microbial Systems Analysis (MSc)

In addition, several faculty participate in an interdisciplinary Plant Cell and Molecular Biology area of concentration. No matter what research a graduate student undertakes, he/she will receive a degree in one of the above "Fields of Study".
